Cool shifter/knob advice ?

Tranny was rebuilt last week and now I am shopping for a new shifter. (mine is toast)

currently have stock shifter/short stick/8 ball knob.

I was referred to ProxesTuning (stock MGW-P)
1) what's the general consensus of the MGW-P?
2) the price diff between 8ball and stock is $55.00. Do the stock knobs really go for that much??? If so, should I stop my bitching and order the 8ball? ...or does anyone know anyone that has a stock knob for sale that I could buy, and then I would only need to order the stock MGW-P.

or should I be looking at the RipShift street?

It seems the GTO community doesn't fair the Hurst very well, huh?

Stay away from the hurst. Just got rid of mine. It was so horrible. I went back to the stock shifter with the Lou's Short Stick and sick speed IBM knob. Love it!
If I had the money, however, I'd LOVE the mgw-p.
