H pipe

Anyone know where to get an H pipe for our cars? I sold my catback I had, and now I am in the process of piecing together another one and I am in the market for an H pipe

Honestly, a reputable exhaust shop should be able to fab up their own H-pipe, yeah?

This is what everyone kept telling me after I bought my Stolen Fox H-pipe. Wish I could offer more advice than that. Good luck!

More than likely that is what I am going to do since stolen Fox doesnt make them anymore. Thanks for the advice.

Yea it would be much cheaper to get it done locally by a reputable exhaust shop. Good luck, post up how it sounds once you are done.

I cant wait. I am ordering the mufflers today. So maybe in the next couple of weeks I will have my new custom exhaust. Im thinking of just having the stock exhaust hacked up instead of having it all repiped.

I would recommend having it made from all new tubing, or at least replace the crimps in the exhaust up near the axle shafts.

If i do that I might as well have the whole thing re piped. I was going to put mufflers in the 04 location, then add an h pipe. There 80% of piping right there LOL

That's the same thing I'm doing. I have the newer exhaust sitting in my garage. I just need the funds to get it all done. I will probably buy some Bullet mufflers, or Spintechs.

What mufflers you going with?

GREAT idea to get them in the '04 position. That's what I'm doing, as well.

I am going with Magnaflow's 14211s. They will fit in the 04 location. Docile at idle, but any throttle at all will wake the beast with in. I just got rid of my h pipe/spintech setup. You will be happy with spintechs for sure.

Nice, putting the mufflers in the 04 locations definitely has an impact on the sound.

I run the magnaflow mufflers and have loved them every second that Pandora is awake. Only thing I am looking at is going with 3" exhaust all the way to 4" tips... but that is when I switch to long tube headers. Our engines love to breathe so you can pick up a little more power from that difference (with the headers, not on stock manifolds).

Its sad, I did the ol "washer mod" on my car last night so I can have some kind of exhaust note until the rest of my exhaust gets done. It sounds good lower RPMs but wide open... im not so sure bout. LOL I think I may be undoing that and just keeping the stock exhaust until the new exhaust arrives.

They say 3rd time is a charm. I have called two local exhaust shops. 1 does not do exhaust work anymore. 2 just so happens to be closed this saturday, but normally open on saturdays.... WTF. I have one more to call that has done work for me before, maybe they will come through for me.

Master muffler in Hermitage. His work was great! I knew I was in good hands when he showed me some of the rock crawlers they built.

What size piping did you go with? I am considering changing to 3" piping when I get the new headers. Other than that, how you liking the magnaflows? Little more exotic sound than deep throat?

I went with 2.5" from the mids back. Love the magnaflows. I dont have any drone what so ever! Its quiet and subtle cruising and idling, open it up and you can hear the music. Yeah it does have a little of an exotic sound, the H-Pipe give it a little more of a choppy idle. There is a small video clip in my post with the pictures.

Did you have the H-pipe placed on the same location as the stock resonator? Did you use the same flanges? I'm thinking about replacing my stock resonator with an H-pipe but I fear the sound will even out too much and that is what I like about my car...the slightly choppy, uneven idle. Thanks
