Thinking about the distillery tour on Sunday at 10am. Then, the dirt road isn't too much of an issue since GF is on Saturday and it still allows folks to leave town by noon.
Also, it means Friday isn't so rushed to get to town and over to the distillery...
Thoughts?

We are going to have to coordinate it with them as they don't usually do tours on the weekends. I was looking at their website and saw that. They might be able to make exceptions if we have a big enough group.
EDIT - Took a look at the schedule again and see that they are back to offering tours on the weekends... Sorry about the confusion.

No one has booked a room at Super 8???? They still have the block of 10 rooms available. We have to release whatever isn't booked by August 21, so if you are planning on going, and need a room, budget priced rooms for the area are available at Super 8.
Last week there were 5 rooms left at FI&S.
Hampton Inn is all booked up last I heard.
Not sure about Inn on Baron Creek.
Let's get registered and book those hotels!!!

The IoBC manager just called me (unsolicited) and the Inn on Baron's Creek has a handful of rooms available for Friday and Saturday night, no minimum stay in case FI&S does not have the room type you want and want something a bit nicer than the Super 8.

I'll have to get Poolshark to book our room. I'd be fine with Super8, but I think he prefers the other choices.
Everything still looks better with MommyLobo, so I'm set to make it. Can't wait!

I did the Fredericksburg Inn my first year... it was nice, but last year I did the Super 8 and it was just as happy since I knew that we could all chill around the pool area at Frederickerburg Inn anyways.... then walk to Super 8.
I am going to look into the Fredericksburg Inn though anyways just to compare to Super 8... and then give you the options so you can weigh the pros and cons.
Doesnt really matter to me...

Goatfest, itself, is on Saturday morning until early afternoon. After the actual event, some people head home. Others, like myself, plan on hanging out and walking around afterwards. We hit up a couple of bars, and party into the night. Even if you don't drink, you can hang out with everyone you know, or get to know those you don't.

There are technically two events. The main attraction then the after party. The main attraction is where we all get together in a single place. The after party is kinda like hide and go seek where we all leave the main attraction and then try to find everyone around town at all the local places. Its a bunch of fun!
Poolshark, we had a great time last year, didn't we? Super 8 wasn't bad, but it wasn't where everyone else was. Still had a great time! Can't wait for another great time! Want me to bring another bottle of jameson?

Food is served at Goatfest. That's one of the things that your Registration Fee covers.
You're also entered into the raffles/prize-drawings with the fee.

Is paying by PayPal the only way? I don't have a PayPal account and I really don't want one.

Yea you don't have to have a paypal account to pay using paypal. Once you register and it takes you to paypal, there is a link that says "Don't have a PayPal account?". Click that and pay using your credit card.
