Ignition switch sticks at times.

Sometimes when I go to start up the ignition sticks in the start position until I switch it off then try again with no issue. Any ideas what might be the issue and ways to fix it?

I know this might sound unrelated to your problem but I had that same issue when my fuel pump was leaking back to the tank, when I first got my Goat it started up with the first turn of the engine, then a year later I noticed that it had to crank several times before starting up and sometimes it seemed like the ignition switch would get stuck cranking the car even if I let go of the key. I replaced the fuel pump with the LPE upgrade and it all started work like before, starts up on the first try and the ignition switch doesn't stay engaged at all. Hope this helps.
