Yeah once we all rolled up on the hill, it quickly became apparent how much time we all wasted in getting our goats all shined up

Boring! Nah. All the goatfests before were white. Black shirts are more $$ but look better than white. Not sure about going to any other color since the cost would be too high.

Last year it didn't look like that at all, it was pretty thick grass. My guess is that they water it. As a matter of fact, it actually sprinkled a little rain on us a few times that day, my fear was getting stuck in mud.

I gotta register soon, gonna repaint the roof and A-pillars on Ghost, hopefully get the rims nickel plated, and a far possibility is getting a cam installed.

They usually don't post the list until close to the deadline, if I'm not mistaken.

Unless, of course, it's on the Goatfest website.

Registered tonight; Dee and I will be there with bells on (always wondered about the origin of that saying; it doesn't seem to make sense in any context that I can think of)!

Looking forward to seeing everyone again; We'll be driving in on Friday and staying at the Inn on Barons Creek this year. Anybody else coming up on Friday?

I wonder if there is any plan on doing the whiskey distillery tour again? That would be pretty awesome to do again. I got quite a few pictures of the group of GTO's that went.

Yes we are coming up Friday night, I'm not much on getting up at the azz crack of dawn on my day off (especially since I get up 2 am every morning) to drive up to F-burg. We are staying at F-burg Inn, I'm guessing that's the same place your talking about, it's where we stayed for Goatfest 2 years ago, and it was pretty nice.

Answer to your "be there with bells on" question:

"Be there with bells on. Arriving 'with bells on' -- meaning happy and delighted to attend -- goes back to the days before automobile, when it was the custom to deck out with the fanciest harness the horse that drew the carriage for special occasions. That, of course, was the harness 'with bells on.'" From the "Morris Dictionary of Word Phrase Origins" by William and Mary Morris (HarperCollins, Publishers, New York, 1977, 1988).

I've never done the distillery tour. This year I'm not staying the night. Only heading up there on Saturday and back to SATX the same day.

You might want to reconsider, if you can. We did the distillrey tour and it was amazing, to say the least. It was a bunch of fun with a very hospitable group of people. Definitely worth the extra time and couple bucks!
