Dyno

Hey hey GTO family,

I am getting my goat dyno'd today for the 1ST TIME!!!! extremely excited..
Now, I wanted to see if any of you out there could tell me what kind of power I should POSSIBLY expect.
This way, I'll have some numbers to kinda go by, so I don't feel like there's something wrong with my car.

My mods and specs are below in my signature. If one of you has the same/simliar setup and have dyno'd yours, what numbers did you put down?

Thanks for all the info, in advance!!

i dunno , maybe its just me but does that seem low for a bolt on car , i thought they made around 400 wheel with basic bolt-ons

About 330 is where the 05-06 starts stock. 357 is a bit on the low side but I think that he could pick up a lot from a Tune. Rabs I think you are still stock tuned correct?

330 wheel stock even sounds low , i thought they started around 350 wheel stock , then basic bolt ons you would be around 400 then with a decent cam be around wheel . if 05-06 come only 330 wheel from the factory that is crazy power amount of power lost.

What's the story with your Intake Manifold? Stock/Ported? You'd see some good gains with one of those, and a ported TB. PM Poolshark, if you're ever interested. It's not a FAST, but it'll definitely open the car up.

Also... ever think of getting somethin' better than that K&N?

I got it tuned by Reckart Performance of ATX. I've talked to other people about the dyno over at Noribilt Fabrication where I got it dyno'd, and they seem to think that there is something wrong with that dyno. .. I dunno. However, they told me at Noribilt that my car is running a little rich, and even they said with a better tune I'll get more power.

intake manifold =stock. i have thought about going with something other than my k&n intake, but havent gotten serious about changing it yet. i'd really like to do a little suspension work at this point other than performance --- unless ya'll know someone in san antonio tx that'll hook it up with an awesome tune (possibly dyno tune) if it'll make a big difference for my rwhp.

i cant recall for nelson i think its around 300 ish. and murillo was about the same.

im basing that off the quotes they gave me for the cam setup both shops said 1600 for it

600 ish for the cam and parts, 500 labor and 500 tune, but if you arent doing a cam then its not going to be as extensive.

Yeah I'd really love to do the cam right now but just got other things I gotta take care of. I'd like to get it dyno tuned. If you could find out exactly what they'd charge, that'd be great. Depending on the "possible" extra power I can get out of my curent mods, I'd jump on that deal.

I just don't think it's too great an intake. But... what do I know? I'm just a slow LS1.

Being an LS2, you'd want to get a Vararam or somethin' else with a bit more kick.
