Talking WRP's porting skills got me into the 460's

Hello all,

It is good to see some folks over hear that I have not seen in a bit. I just recently had some work done to Pearl that WRP helped out with. I wanted to post some of this info and WRP asked that come over and visit this site. I will post up some more info regarding my build. I owe the guys over at SNL a huge thank you for getting me to where I am on a VERY tight budget. This thread is going to be didcated to WRP's contribution to my build.

I recently had the following mods done in addition to the mods in my sig...

TSP Torquer v.3 cam
PRC LS6 Stage 2.5 Heads
Supporting Valvetrain Upgrades
Porteds LS2 Intake and Throttle Body
UDP
LS7 Lifter
Phoenix (Matt) working his magic...

Here is a before and after dyno graph...

During the build we decided that we would do an intake swap while Pearl was still on the dyno without making any other changes and see what we picked up. So after Matt made a few tweaks to the tune we swapped out the intakes. Without any other changes Pearl picked up 9 rwhp / 13 rwtq. Here is a graph with before and after curves.

This is a very affordable upgrade that should be a no brainer for anyone that is considering a cam or head swap. I am sure that I picked up more from this mod than I did from the UDP. This was WRP's first attempt at porting an LS2 intake, and I am willing to bet that his future attempts will generate even larger gains.

Thanks again Bill!

Very nice! I wonder what kind of gains you would see on a FI car...

Thanks Jeff, lots of folks discount the LS2 intakes. They aren't the easiest to port but I was pretty happy with the gains. I'll be looking forward to doing a fast for you some day.

That makes two of us bud...I know that you will have a new "intake" going on soon. I would love to have dibs on your old set up...

While I was at SNL getting the dyno runs in I watched wrp working on a throttlebody, it was impressive to say the least. Watching him you could tell he was a master at work. It was almost entirely worth the trip just to watch.
