Finally Learning to Tune

Well, I'm finally diving into tuning my own GTO.

HP Tuners is very powerful, but it's not for the faint of heart! You could really fubar your motor if you're not careful.

So far, I've learned that my tuner used the wrong Injector Flow Rate (IFR) which was causing my car to run really rich, especially at idle.

I've learned to tune the Volumetric Efficiency (VE) table and MAF table using the HP Tuners Scanner and histogram feature. It's amazing how much better the car idles now and I've eliminated a bucking problem that I had when the cruise was set.

Pretty fascinating stuff!

Nope. Not without some sort of signed release absolving me of any responsibility of what happens to your car.
