Kill this

Ethyl at 93,000 miles. The cylinder walls are smooth, need to be rehoned. Camshaft worn, lifters worn, all need replacing. Found a piece of a valve spring in the oil pickup screen, the Valve spring had broken at 47,000 miles so it stayed there in the pickup for 46,000 more. This engine had heads and cam at 22,000 miles and the same heads and cam came off of it. It will need a new cam, new lifters, rehoned, new rings and bearings, include cam bearings, and probably could stand some deck milling/blueprinting to true it up. for all the trash talked about the LS1 04's who else has made over 450 rwhp for 75,000 miles and had half as much fun as me n Ethyl.

The heads are in excellent condition, going to freshen them up too. I am guessing the whole refresh on this LS1 will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,100 for a pretty well complete LS1 460+ whp Long Block. Of course I am sure Evos, STi,s etc are better cars but well frankly smurf them and the rustangs too.

Check out the valley, it was as clean and dry as the new blocks we get in.

Sure hope so. That was the goal, not looking good right now, we are having some fitment issues. On a brighter note, fuel system is going in.

We will be pushing it. Still have to tub it and vent the crankcase. Waiting on the hood, a catch can, tensioner, overdriven crank pulley, and the 28 inch DRs.

Larger Inter-cooler Reservoir and the new CAI
