04 GTO rear trunk wont open

I think I have a short in the trunk. My rear Pontiac sign fell off so when it rains water gets in the trunk and now I tried to open the trunk its like it wont unlock it clicks very softly but wont open is there away to get in the trunk. What should I do?

Where is place to buy the Pontiac symbol for decent price. GM is charging me $200 for that part.

Check out GTOG8TA.com (site sponsor) for the arrowhead emblem. Also, if the electric release won't work, there is a manual cable behind the passenger side headrest.
