Cooling system boiling

Need your help. Just the other day, I noticed when I shut the car off that I could hear the coolant boiling. Car never showed it overheating. I burped the system last night. It does appear that the tstat is opening (upper and lower hoses were hot to touch). I noticed the fans never came on. Need help resolving this one. Thanks in advance.

It must be that time of the year, I am having issues with overheating as well. My temp gauge goes to the red but no warning showing hot. When putting my car in the diag mode it shows my temp getting up to 224F and then the fans come on. Temps gauge levels out but then goes back into the red. All this is when sitting idel. When driving no issues. I have changed the two fan relays, thermostat and the temp sensor on the head. This is a DD.

I put a new cap on mine, then I found out that that my radiator was leaking. So new cap, new radiator, and problem solved.
