Nitrous, uhh....
Hey everybody,
So at Goatfest 8, I won a 50% off certificate for Nitrous Express. I've never once thought about doing this to my GTO, but it got me thinking.... What should I get and is it safe?
Anyway, I'd like to not waste this certificate and I also don't wanna spend an endless amount of $, so I'd like to get some advise.
I have absolutely no clue about anything when it comes to nitrous, since I never wanted it anyway, but where do I start? What do I need? I'm not really even thinking about using it often, or EVER, but it would be kinda cool just to roll up somewhere and hit the purge button just for show as I'd like to hook it up to where it'll come out of both of the hood scoops. I don't care for a huge bottle, 5 lb - 10 lb is fine. Again, I'd mainly just want this for show/purge.
Should I be looking at a $500-$600 system or more, or can I get away with something cheaper, since I don't intend on using it hardly ever?
Thank you thank you!!!

Just stick some NOS stickers on the rear windows and be done with it.

If its gonna be more for show, then go with a cheaper system, if you plan to actually use it, then of course step up and spend the cash!!!! Remember you've got a 50% off ticket and it's only good once!

Exactly. Thats why I don't wanna waste it.
Since I haven't looked into any systems, I don't know what I can get with any certain $ amount.

If I can get something good for $500-$600 and only spend 1/2 after the certificate, then I'd jump on it. Just don't hav any clue how much installation typically costs. Any idea?

Is the certificate transferable?
If it is, you may want to consider selling to a forum member.

I have been considering selling it. Just depends on how much someone needs it for and how much I can get.

Eric, I have decided to sell the kit that I won. I don't think I want to play with the nitrous as I never built the car for it and I really don't want to pull and idiot move and low my engine up! lmao

Looks like I'll sell this certificate.
I'm thinking, if someone buys a $600-$700 kit, this cert will take 50% off, and I'll charge $100 for it. So, instead of buying a $700 kit, for example, you'd get it for $350 + $100, for a total of $450. You save $250..... Now the numbers obviously change depending on kit..... MIGHT be flexible on price, depending on situation.

Good call, Eric. From all my research, you pretty much need to have the nitrous build in mind when you start picking parts. I didn't do that and is the reason I am staying away from it. With that said, I have a main line dry kit for sale!
