Nitrous+Boost???

Hi, im currently running a d1sc with a nice sized cam and 12psi of boost does anyone know if a 50-75shot would be overkill on the stock ls2 bottom? Thanks guys

What is your HP at right now? As I am sure you know, boost doesn't kill an engine, its the HP/Torque. When adding Nitrous to a boosted car you can basically double the shot/HP and more than twice the torqe/shot.

You have got to be somewhere around 600rwhp right now without the spray right?

Im really not sure about how much hp im making i dyno'ed once here local and put down an alleged 642rwhp but when i hit up another dyno in a different town 433rwhp lol and i was on more boost + my methanol so i dunnno haha i do know i make more than that 433 i belive i got cheated there because i told the guy before he dynoed it i wanted to get a new tuner because i knew i had much more hp on the table.

If you got the money to throw around, go for it, but I personally wouldn't risk it. I mean I've heard stock bottm LS2's coming apart at 500+ rwhp.

consistant 119mph traps best of 125mph? last time I hit the track low 11's allnight long

HMMM something doesn't seem right with your setup. 119 traps are low 500rwhp territory right? Are you tuned for meth or using it as a safety? Either way something just doesn't seem right. I could be wrong though.

Tuned for meth, Your not off on the thinking lol my tune is messed up (rather not get in to that lol) but i am going to get a new tune next weekend. I already have everything setup for the nitrous but am hesisitant to wire it all up

Yeah I would wait until you figure your tune out and see what is "wrong". Then determine how much you are willing to risk..LOL!!

I would hold off untill you get the tune also, With 12psi on a stock block you should be making like 650ish with a good tune.

sorry guys i got hptuners and have tuned it my self im spraying a 75shot and i lowered the boost to 7psi im running 20degrees of timing until 6000rpm and i have it drop to 18 havent seen any knock and the car pulls insanely hard roasted my mt et streets from a 70punch havent gotten to a dyno yet since the closest one is a 2 1/2 hour drive.
EDIT: im having a few issues with the new pulley i added today puts me right at 11psi i havent got around to spraying it since it keeps breaking up....well actually feels like traction control shutting you down at 3500 when i hit full boost guess i gotta get some sleep and figure it out in the morning

not much to report back i sprayed it from a 60punch spun on my et drags haha feels insane. The 6-12's are killin me at work so i dont have much time to play car does feel alot stronger its holding up great with the added boost n shot even tho iv only sprayed maybe 3 times no knock tho so i belive everything is workin out perfect
